  • ::: Drawings :::2006 – Rabbatman – Wood, Wire, Burlap, Plaster, Spraypaint I stayed up for 3 days during the time that I made Rabbatman working on paintings and drawings at the same time. I didnt finish it in time and missed the deadline by a nights work. I went home physically, mentally and emotionally drained, smoked a cigarette and broke down on my apartment living room couch in front of my room mate Tom Taylor. He sat with me as I cried my eyes out mainly because I failed myself. He brought me back to reality. I hugged him then went back to the studio and finished the piece. When I left I saw the rabbits in the grass by the Iowa river, and the bats flying overhead as I had for the previous 3 nights. I walked home slowly and went to sleep for a very long time. Shortly thereafter I discovered I had a hernia! _____________________________________________________________________________________ [caption id=u0022attachment_87u0022 align=u0022aligncenteru0022 width=u0022640u0022 caption=u00222007 - u0022Relyzu0022 - Litho Stone (Stage 1)u0022][/caption] Above is my brief attempt at Lithography. • ::: Ceramics :::I love “Avatar The Last Air Bender” (the animated series, NOT the movie) because, here is a 100 year old 12 year old, and in order to save the world he has to master all 4 elements: earth, air, water and fire! A ceramic avatar must master these elements also in order to save the world. :) Hey, its possible. St. Seraphim of Sarov once said, “Save yourself and thousands around you will be saved”. ____________________________________________________________________ Winter 2010 – Face-cup series – Terra Cotta and Underglaze Glancing Guy ____________________________________________________________________

::: Vertical Mural at SCC :::

April/May 2012 – “Lifted” – 24′ x 8′ – Scott Community College, Quad Cities This mural was painted sideways using the many thoughts and designs shared by SCC art students and faculty. The ideas that affected me most suggested persevering through life’s hardships through the help of others.  The imagery came from this notion.  I believe it…
